At Mayfield Court, June has been another wonderful month filled with meaningful moments, community outings and quality time with family and friends. Our residents have enjoyed making memories both at home and out in the local community, with activities that promote independence, wellbeing and personal choice. Here's a look at some highlights from June.
Afternoon Tea with Family & Friends
Our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea alongside their families and loved ones. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together, catch up and enjoy a selection of delicious sandwiches, cakes and refreshments. The afternoon was filled with laughter, conversation, plenty of smiles singing and dancing along to a live singer. Events like these help strengthen relationships and celebrate the important connections that mean so much to our residents.
Stans Love for Gardening
Gardening has always been one of Stan's favourite hobbies, and although he is no longer able to manage it independently, we are committed to ensuring he can still enjoy something he loves. With support from one of our drivers, Stan regularly visits local garden centres to choose new plants and flowers. Together they spend time planting them and caring for the garden, allowing Stan to stay involved in the activity he enjoys most. Supporting personal interests in this way helps promote wellbeing while creating meaningful experiences

These special trips provide a great opportunity for everyone to relax, socialise and explore the local communities. Autumn Adventures at Mayfield Court As the leaves start to fall and the air turns crisp, there’s no slowing down for our wonderful Mayfield residents! Even as the nights draw in and the jumpers come out, everyone has been making the most of the season with some fantastic days out and plenty of fun closer to home. We’ve enjoyed exciting trips to Knowsley Safari Park – where the lions, rhinos, and mischievous monkeys gave us plenty to talk about – and a fascinating visit to Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, where our residents got up close with some very famous faces!
July & August at Mayfield Court Summer at Mayfield Court has been in full swing, and our residents have enjoyed a season filled with laughter, sunshine, and special memories. Throughout July and August, we’ve shared many wonderful days together — from lively activities and themed events to great days out. It’s been a time of fun, friendship, and making moments to cherish.
Summer Activities Summer has truly arrived at Mayfield Court, and our residents have been making the most of the sunshine and warm weather with a variety of fun and memorable outings. There have been plenty of relaxing visits to local coffee shops, where our residents enjoyed a comforting cup of tea or coffee, often accompanied by a sneaky slice of cake and a good chat.
Sunshine, Smiles and Seaside Adventures at Mayfield Court. The recent spell of glorious weather has brought a burst of energy and excitement to Mayfield Court. Our residents have been making the most of the sunshine, enjoying plenty of outings and fresh air. One of the favourite stops have been trips to a local coffee shop and a nice slice of cake! And of course who can resist a traditional pub lunch...a hearty lunch and a pint or two went down a treat!
Easter at Mayfield Court - A Visit to Remember! This Easter was truly special at Mayfield Court, as resident were treated to a delightful surprise - the Easter bunny himself made a fantastic appearance! Bringing joy, laughter and plenty of seasonal cheer, the Easter Bunny handed out chocolate eggs and thoughtful gifts to our residents. The smiles were contagious and everyone enjoyed the festive treats and the warm, joyful atmosphere.
